About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will design processes for safe and efficient automotive frame assembly. They will use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize Assembly Line production functions. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing) or Work Previous Experience of 6 years that is equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a balanced process across manufacturing areas using M.O.S.T.
  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques to support process efficiency and meet SQCDM targets.
  • Design and implement processes that are simple and effective.
  • Audit and maintain data to ensure accurate information across all operations standards.
  • Perform basic time estimates for production processes and equipment loads.
  • Support the development and refinement of operation standards.
  • Support Stamping / Plastics Department Lead for PDDA, MDRS, EOS systems.
  • Participate in meetings with Honda functional groups to discuss improvement themes in Quality, Safety, Delivery, Production, Purchasing, Packaging, or Logistics.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency.
  • Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
  • Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
  • Assist in developing plans and schedules for projects.
  • Support New Model Events by incorporating change points into process design, and identifying concerns and countermeasure before mass production.
  • Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.
  • Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.
  • Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics.
  • Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns.
  • Provide project support for all items impacting Assembly Department associate process.
