About The Position

This role involves running and maintaining automotive paint equipment and robots to ensure safety, quality, and throughput metrics are attained daily. The position is fast-paced and requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with hands to understand mechanical issues. The engineer will be responsible for equipment and will provide direction to technicians. There are two backfill positions available, and the company is looking for motivated individuals who want to make this a long-term career at GM.

Requirements

• Technical Degree strongly required
• Ability to work with their hands and understand mechanical issues
• Ability to understand how things fit and wear
• Open to working weekends and long hours and holidays
• Ability to be at work early and on time
• Strong motivation to stay at GM long term

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• High school diploma with a LOT of experience
• Leadership experience/skills
