About The Position

This role is responsible for defining, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to support safe, high‑quality, and efficient production. The Process Engineer leads process qualifications, documentation updates, data‑driven improvements, and implementation of engineering changes. In addition, the role provides technical expertise to lead or support resolution of production issues, ensuring both short‑term stability and long‑term process robustness. Provide technical support to production to maintain stable and efficient part flow, and lead or support resolution of production issues when engineering expertise is required. Troubleshoot process interruptions and collaborate with operators, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to restore normal operation and prevent recurrence. Lead or support root-cause investigations for process issues, yield losses, or nonconformances using structured problem‑solving methods. Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions to ensure long-term process robustness. Lead or support PPAP activities, including FMEA development and updates, control plan alignment, and First Article Inspections (FAIs). Lead or support process development, part & machine qualifications, engineering changes, and validation activities, including trial planning, data collection, capability analysis, and documentation. Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, improve yield and throughput, and increase process capability and repeatability. Maintain and update process documentation including work instructions, standard work, control plans, PFMEA inputs, process flows, and engineering standards. Monitor key process metrics and use data-driven analysis to identify trends, risks, or improvement opportunities. Partner with operations and training teams to develop and deliver training on process standards, changes, and troubleshooting methods. Support safety and compliance by ensuring processes meet all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Ability to collect and analyze production or quality data to support problem solving and process improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting production environments and working directly with operators and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot manufacturing process issues and equipment disruptions.
