About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead a high-performance aerospace manufacturing operation. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, continuous improvement, and strategic growth while ensuring world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, inventory control, logistics, scheduling, workforce development, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of improving operations, developing teams, and delivering results in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership with responsibility for plant operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and business systems.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, labor planning, and capital expenditures.
  • Strong ERP system experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in precision machining, metalworking, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • AS9100 experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute plant strategy to achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish plant priorities and operational goals.
  • Direct all manufacturing operations including production, scheduling, logistics, inventory control, quality, and maintenance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, throughput, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Utilize ERP systems, business analytics, and advanced Excel tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts across the organization.
  • Develop and manage plant budgets and operating plans.
  • Support forecasting, labor planning, and capital investment initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings while maintaining customer and quality expectations.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, aerospace quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Support customer requirements, audits, and quality initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Lead workforce planning, staffing, succession planning, and employee development efforts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee performance management and personnel decisions.
