As a Manufacturing Planning Specialist, you’ll create production and material plans to include inventory goals and schedules. You’ll oversee the master schedule and ensure compliance with material requirements for manufacturing and manage the procurement planning for a medium size. You may also develop material cost strategies and coordinate target pricing with supply chain, while maintaining the forecast in the production and material planning tool and updating as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of MRP/ERP principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of concurrent engineering principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of government compliance regulations
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Create production and material plans to include inventory goals and schedules.
  • Oversee the master schedule and ensure compliance with material requirements for manufacturing.
  • Manage the procurement planning for a medium size.
  • Develop material cost strategies and coordinate target pricing with supply chain.
  • Maintain the forecast in the production and material planning tool and update as required.
  • Process and quote outsource requisitions for diverse manufacturing operations, including raw material procurement and finished part plating.
  • Maintain hands-on collaboration with outside vendors through rigorous follow-up to guarantee deadline compliance, adapting quickly to resolve unexpected issues with fast, effective solutions.
  • Multi-task within dynamic shop schedules while accurately quoting jobs to support various production programs.
