About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Planner within the Manufacturing Planning Department at our Butler Works facility. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling challenges and support efficient operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other Business-related field or equivalent experience
Detailed knowledge of automated and manual planning systems
Advanced computer and math skills
High level ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Willingness to work evenings/weekends on a rotating basis

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of plant operations, material flow, production capabilities/capacities and product attributes/requirements
Three (3) years related to manufacturing planning

Responsibilities

Develop daily steel making production schedules for operating units which include facilities in the Butler and Zanesville plants
Coordinate material movement (both interplant and intraplant), operations and planning to accomplish schedule
Monitor actual vs. planned production, inter/intraplant material movement and shipments
Communicate and distribute information to others such as production plans, unit schedules, material movement plans, and material expediting requirements
Assist in determining the number of operating turns required, timing requirements for unit changeovers, outages, and delays
Apply material to orders following application rules and quality requirements while meeting delivery commitments established for customer service
Assist other Manufacturing Planning associates in a cooperative manner on daily job tasks
Assure unit schedules align with all current QSOP/TWI requirements as well as trials being conducted by research or product development groups
