About The Position

This position is responsible for reviewing, creating, and releasing manufacturing orders to the shop floor, monitoring production schedules, expediting the flow of materials and orders through the shop floor and outside services processes to achieve customer on time order shipment. This position will work in collaboration with the Sr. APU Manufacturing Planner and Sr Strategic Buyers to identify and improve material and process flows. This position will manage data and planning parameters as directed by the Sr. APU Manufacturing Planner.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP planning and data management integrity.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills to create spreadsheets, filtered data analysis and summarized data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing planning in a project environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO environment.

Responsibilities

  • Release and create manufacturing orders to the shop floor, monitor production schedules and expedite the flow of materials and orders through the shop to ensure ship dates are met, including communicating and facilitating issues.
  • Making recommendations and maintaining Material Requirements Planning (MRP) rules to match strategies of assigned projects to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Update and monitor all relevant production planning data and production schedules in the MRP / ERP system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the management of inventory levels, including monitoring assigned inventory items to ensure both plant and division objectives are met.
  • Align goals and objectives with LEAP objectives and support continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Assess the impact of engineering change orders and execute changes as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
