About The Position

The Manufacturing Planner, Sr. (Level 3) for the PAC‑3 Japan Team is responsible for owning and maintaining the schedule for contractual deliverables. This role involves coordinating schedule activities and ensuring the timely delivery of program commitments. The position requires acting as a Scheduler, Make, Buy, or BOM Planner within Production, Planning and Control. It also involves coordinating inter-departmental activities with quality, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration. Responsibilities include scheduling and expediting the movement of parts via move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests. The role may require travel to and communication with all production sites and vendor locations as needed, and providing coverage outside normal operating hours to meet schedule demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance. An Interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting.
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.
  • Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory Control and material handling knowledge.
  • Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
  • Green Belt trained / certified.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
