About The Position

This role understands date maintenance as it pertains to MPS Loading and Attainment, and thoroughly understands BOM structure as it relates to BOM level, assemblies, phantoms, bulk materials, storage locations, production relevancy, etc. The Manufacturing Planner 2 can analyze Clear to Build data and works material gaps in advance for risk mitigation. This role coaches planners/buyers on reasons for delays for PO/PR execution and performs the planning function at an intermediate level of the BOM structure (i.e. Controllers vs Cabinets which is higher in BOM structure). The Manufacturing Planner 2 works closely with planners below and above the value chain and understands immediate impact. They participate in manufacturing cross-functional teams (Ops, Procurement, Sourcing, Quality, Facilities) across the value stream level. This role engages with Engineering on ECO disposition, minimizes trapped inventory, and addresses OBS issues. They are engaged with the initial NPI set-up of BOM structure and are a key partner in the NPI process for MRP. The Manufacturing Planner 2 is an active participant in the SIOP and supply reconciliation process, with intermediate exposure to demand management and revenue planning activities. They understand core SAP production planning and inventory management modules.

Requirements

  • High School graduation, GED plus a minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Experience in Customer Service or a Business environment is desirable with focus in Field Service, Customer Service and/or Inventory Control is desirable.
  • Proficient in SAP and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to maintain a professional manner with internal and external customers while under high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
