About The Position

GlobalFoundries is hiring Manufacturing Operators to help produce microelectronic chips used in cellphones, computers, tablets, vehicles, and other technologies. No semiconductor or manufacturing experience is required; training is provided. Operators work in a manufacturing environment using computers, equipment, and production systems to help keep the Fab running safely and efficiently.

The role is based in a clean room and requires wearing clean room attire. The schedule is either a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with approximately 14 workdays per month. Occasional overtime opportunities are available. The posting also advertises an in-person hiring event on October 29, 2026, where candidates can interview, take a partial Fab tour, learn about the opportunities, and potentially receive an offer on the spot.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• English language fluency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift, excluding breaks.
• Comfortable wearing a clean room uniform.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Ability to meet GlobalFoundries pre-employment screening requirements.
