About The Position

Our site in Chaska is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our team. As an Extrusion Manufacturing Operator, you’ll play an essential role in producing high‑quality plastic tubing and components that support our customers’ mission‑critical processes. Working as part of a collaborative production team, you will operate extrusion equipment, handle raw materials, and follow established procedures to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient output. This position will work 6PM-6AM Mon-Thu first week and 6PM-6AM Mon-Wed second week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, extrusion, plastics processing, or a similar production environment
  • Ability to follow standard processes and learn new procedures quickly
  • Ability to safely operate an electric pallet jack or similar equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances and high precision processes
  • Basic math and computer/data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to high-quality work
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Load and replenish extruder raw material tanks with resin to maintain a continuous production flow
  • Safely transport raw materials between storage and production using an electric pallet jack or similar equipment
  • Set up and adjust automatic reel systems at the end of the extrusion line to support smooth product winding
  • Wrap, handle, pack, and bag finished rolls of extruded material according to work order specifications and quality standards
  • Perform sandblasting on extrusion tools as required to ensure proper tool readiness
  • Complete all production documentation accurately and on time, including production reports, rack tickets, labels, component sheets, and SAP transactions
  • Collaborate with setup technicians and warehouse teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure raw material availability
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts such as 6S, waste reduction, and Kaizen activities to elevate safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
  • Follow all safety protocols and communicate potential hazards promptly.
  • Wear required PPE and adhere to cleanroom attire standards if applicable
