About The Position

This role involves performing repetitive assembly operations for intravenous drug solutions such as Sodium Chloride and Dextrose, adhering to Bill of Materials, Blue Prints, Specs, and SOPs while following Good Manufacturing Practices, Documentation, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards. The operator ensures all components are present and inspects the product at all manufacturing stages. The employee will interact and rotate through assigned work areas with proper training, verifying correct and good condition parts, filling IV bags with specified solutions, manually assembling the 'enhance closure' to IV bags, supplying materials to the line, organizing bags on the production belt, inspecting each IV bag for 100% quality (e.g., lot, code, print, batch number, particles), organizing and covering bags with an 'over pouch', sealing the 'over pouch' with the required machine, placing 'over pouches' in the specified 'truck' according to product pattern (for SSL only), inspecting each bag on a black and white background for particles and segregating if required, ensuring a defect-free product, and packing, sealing, weighing, and palletizing final product boxes according to specifications (for SSL only). Tasks may vary based on the manufacturing process operation, and rotation between operations is required. The employee must maintain an organized and clean work area, report any unsafe conditions or deviations in equipment function, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), company rules, and EHS regulations. Responsibilities include continuous EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects, following applicable procedures, and analyzing EHS incidents (including near misses) to find root causes and take corrective actions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs like MS Office.
  • Ability to understand and operate equipment and operator interfaces ('Man-Machine Interface').
  • Proficiency in reading comprehension, good writing, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Must be able to use appropriate equipment to comply with external and internal policies and procedures (e.g., safety shoes, glasses, uniforms, ear plugs, among others).
  • Must meet visual requirements tied to the 'Physical Task Demand' analysis for visual inspection tasks.
  • Good motor skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years (or equivalent) of university studies preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language (read and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive assembly operations for intravenous drug solutions.
  • Ensure product has all its components and inspect the product at all stages of manufacturing.
  • Verify that parts to be used are appropriate and in good condition.
  • Fill each IV bag with the specified solution according to SOP.
  • Assemble the 'enhance closure' manually to the IV bags as specified by Bill of Material, Specs, and applicable SOPs.
  • Supply material to the line when necessary.
  • Organize all bags in the same position on the production belt.
  • Inspect each plastic IV bag to ensure 100% quality (zero defects).
  • Organize all bags and cover with the 'over pouch' as specified by Bill of Material, Specs, and applicable SOPs.
  • Seal each 'over pouch' with the required machine (e.g., DOBOY).
  • Place 'over pouches' in the specified 'truck' according to the applicable pattern for the product (applies to SSL only).
  • Inspect each bag on a black and white background to check for particles and segregate if required.
  • Ensure the product is defect-free.
  • Pack units, seal, weigh, and palletize boxes of the final product as specified by Bill of Material, Specs, and applicable SOPs (applies to SSL only).
  • Maintain the work area organized and clean according to operation procedures.
  • Report any unsafe condition in the work area, as well as any deviation in the normal operation of the work area equipment.
  • Comply at all times with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), company rules, and EHS regulations.
  • Perform continuous EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects.
  • Follow applicable procedures and analyze EHS incidents (including near misses) to find root causes and take corrective actions.
