About The Position

Velosity Forest Lake is searching for a Manufacturing Operator on 3rd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for production, documentation and product quality. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $19.00 - $22.00. This role is also eligible for our 5% target bonus program. This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range. Velosity Forest Lake is not your typical manufacturing company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Previous production experience required.
  • Ability to run a manual work center and maintain cycle, tend to multiple automatic work centers as assigned, ability to count and report production produced and scrap as required.
  • Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment; knowledge of a variety of injection molding presses; understand how to read a print; successful completion of Paulson Molding Fundamentals 1 &2
  • To perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to understand how and when to react to changes in product quality
  • Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
  • Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.
  • The ability to work overtime when needed.
  • When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this role is only open to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders) or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status. Individuals with temporary visas (e.g. E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, TN or OPT) are not eligible for hire in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work/collaborate with a team to produce products correctly the first time, on time.
  • Follow documented processes and instructions to manufacture products to meet our customer’s expectations.
  • Make effective/accurate decisions about part acceptance while operating manual or automatic work centers.
  • Accurately count product and label packaging accordingly.
  • Document required information using good documentation practices on all company records.
  • Inspect and document parts per the Inspection instructions
  • Provide continual input suggestions to team members to improve the effectiveness of production and engineering development operations.
  • Recognize, comprehend, and react to changes in part quality, work center and equipment controls. Notify team members as issues/concerns arise.
  • Conduct effective shift handoffs to incoming personnel including effective communication about work center/product statuses, scrap levels, run challenges, and best practices/job nuances to improve the likelihood of success for the incoming shift.
  • Follow company processes and procedures including medical cleanrooms / controlled environments.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
