About The Position

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of production lines. This hands-on role involves daily interaction with equipment, materials, and products, including setting up machines, monitoring production processes, resolving minor issues, and upholding quality and safety standards. It is well-suited for individuals who enjoy an active role, working with machinery, and taking responsibility for their work area.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in production, mechanical troubleshooting, or a related field is required.
  • Must have basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (GMP, Pharmaceutical, food or similar) is a plus.
  • Prior work experience in manufacturing performing equipment set-up and change-overs, or similar demonstrated experience in multi-system mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with a lean organization or other prior exposure to lean concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of PAS-X, SAP, ProFicient, and/or FT_Batch computer systems.
  • Ability to lift 5-25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the regular use of various PPE including but not limited to the following: bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and N95 or PAPR.
  • Team oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set.
  • Able to function productively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Run and monitor manufacturing equipment on your assigned line or work center.
  • Set up machines at the start of a run, make adjustments during production, and perform changeovers between products.
  • Clean equipment and work areas following GMP and safety guidelines.
  • Measure, weigh, inspect, and process materials to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Monitor process performance and identify issues early to prevent impact on quality or output.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical fixes during production.
  • Replace worn or non-functioning parts and escalate larger issues to maintenance or technical teams.
  • Ensure materials and supplies are stocked and ready for continuous production.
  • Move materials safely using approved material-handling equipment.
  • Accurately complete batch records, equipment logs, cleaning logs, and system entries (SAP/ERP) throughout the shift.
  • Follow written procedures (SOPs, GMPs, standard work) and seek clarification when needed.
  • Wear required PPE and adhere to all safety and environmental rules.
  • Report safety concerns, process issues, or quality problems immediately.
  • Participate in required training and develop skills to independently operate multiple work centers.
  • Collaborate with teammates, supervisors, and support teams to ensure smooth operations.
