Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • No experience
  • Ability to walk and stand regularly; climb stairs and ladders
  • Frequent reaching, bending/stooping, crouching, squatting, pushing/pulling, and manual manipulation
  • Frequently lift product up to 50 pounds; minimal lifting over 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food manufacturing is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide relief coverage for production operators across multiple departments, including Cultures Packaging, Fermentation, Wet Blending, Liquid Receiving, Spray Dryers, Powder Packaging, and Wet Packaging
  • Support and relieve Production Team Leads as needed
  • Train production operators in new and existing practices; assist with onboarding and development of new joiners
  • Float between positions and roles when not assigned to scheduled relief coverage
  • Operate and monitor production equipment following established procedures and setpoints to achieve QC‑approved products with optimal yields and lowest costs
  • Use computer systems including iFIX operator interface, Intelex, SAP, and Excel to track production data, historical trends, recipes, cycles, and chemical usage
  • Wash and clean equipment per sanitation manuals; follow GMP and food safety programs
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts; may become certified as a forklift trainer
  • Assist other production operators as needed
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety by observing, enforcing, and promoting safe work practices
