The Manufacturing Operator position is responsible for operating assembly equipment and/or second operation machines through various tasks such as greenforming, sintering, laser cutting, wet saw cutting, inspecting, trimming, testing, fixturing, assembling and packaging membrane products. This role also involves verifying product visually, ensuring consistency with established specifications, and escalating quality issues as appropriate. The operator will maintain the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO, and other standards. They will also ensure all product is packaged per specifications, perform various operations according to work orders and process record instructions, and finalize all required paperwork thoroughly and timely. The position integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness, and product/system quality. It promotes and implements the use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities and participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s and Kaizen events. The operator will maintain a clean and safe work area, wear required Personal Protective Equipment, perform duties safely, observe approved safety procedures, and communicate potential hazards immediately to their supervisor. Specific tasks include following a documented sequence for processing raw metal powders, using computer-driven vacuum furnaces, inspecting and measuring metal membrane products, performing cutting, cleaning, final inspection, labeling, and packaging. Data entry into SAP for inspection and batch detail information is required. The role involves performing setups and adjustments according to work instructions, using metrology equipment and basic math, operating computer programs like Excel, and entering data. The operator will also verify equipment performance, make necessary adjustments, build to necessary Takt rates, assist with inventory and cycle counts, prioritize work, and keep the work area clean and organized. May provide direction to lower-level operators. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and be flexible with work hours. The standard hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on 1st shift, but overtime or additional hours may be required.
