Requirements

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • Read, write and speak English.
  • Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
  • Negative drug screen test results.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
  • Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees, and proper maintenance / security of Amcor information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
  • Constant vigilance and participation in Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Production practices.
  • Prevent nonconforming products from being shipped to customers.
  • Identify and record problems relating to products, processes and quality systems.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
  • Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
  • Transcribe product specification information onto shipping cartons.
  • Weigh, tape, lift, and stack filled shipping cartons onto pallets (if required).
  • Perform duties quickly to avoid production back up.
  • Perform visual inspection of production and alert Shift Coordinator or QA of noticeable defects.
  • Perform job duties associated with scrap parts produced.
  • Completes daily report of parts produced, scrapped or placed on hold.
  • Tend to machines such as Presses, Assembly, Auxiliary, Printing, and Lining equipment, which perform in production areas, according to machine standards.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance task as assigned by Shift Coordinator.
