Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay UltraSource is currently seeking applicants for a Machine Operator - Photolithography, Etch & Plating. The position supports daily production requirements by safely processing high-reliability thin-film products in accordance with applicable drawings, routings, work instructions, quality requirements, and workmanship standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or college coursework preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or cleanroom experience preferred.
  • Experience in thin-film, semiconductor, electronics, plating, or chemical processing is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with process chemicals and wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to read and follow drawings, routings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Ability to handle small, fragile substrates without causing damage or contamination.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work.
  • Good visual acuity and ability to perform detailed microscope work.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate production records.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to move between work centers based on production needs.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Photolithography, Etching, and Electroless Plating operations in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Cross-train and maintain qualification across multiple processes to support changing production needs.
  • Review drawings, routings, specifications, and work instructions before processing product.
  • Verify equipment, tooling, chemistry, and process conditions are ready for use.
  • Prepare process chemicals and perform chemical changeovers using required PPE and safe-handling practices.
  • Perform photolithography activities including cleaning, lamination or coating, exposure, developing, inspection, and resist stripping.
  • Operate manual and semi-automated wet-processing equipment.
  • Inspect substrates and perform microscope-based touch-up, critical-dimension measurements, tape testing, and XRF thickness measurements.
  • Accurately document processing activities, measurements, inspection results, and quantities.
  • Stop processing and promptly report equipment, process, material, or quality conditions that fall outside approved requirements.
