This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) and a backfill position. The role is an active, approved vacancy within the organization and is intended to support current staffing needs. There is strong potential for this position to be converted into a permanent role upon successful completion of the contract, depending on business needs, individual performance, and organizational requirements at that time. The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for executing manufacturing and packaging operations in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety and quality requirements. The role ensures that all materials, equipment, and processes are handled in a manner that consistently supports product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of production experience.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with IMS and SAP production transactions or similar operation systems.
  • Highly motivated, conscientious, self-managed team player, with experience working in a production team environment.
  • Proven Technical Competency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use and understand automation solutions such as IP21, eBRS, CDISY, Freeweigh, etc.
  • High School Diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Other computer skills such as Word and Excel are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Stage, weigh, and process released materials according to GMPs, SOPs, and safety requirements.
  • Complete mechanical changeover of equipment.
  • Clean equipment, room, and general areas for production use.
  • Prepare and complete all documentation applicable to production i.e.: manufacturing instructions, statistical process control charts, and incident checklists.
  • Participate in pre-delivery inspections and qualification for processing equipment.
  • Write and revise SOPs for new equipment and/or processes.
  • Coordinate the ordering/commissioning of small equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.
  • Manufacture development batches.
  • Train other manufacturing team members.
  • Perform related computer tasks: SAP, IMS.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Participate in quality and customer complaint investigations.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Trouble-shoot equipment and process related issues
  • Work in other Manufacturing/Packaging areas as required.
