About The Position

The Manufacturing Operations Lead leads a team of operators who perform various operations on the product in accordance with the work orders and information instructions. The lead also ensures inspections of products and corrective actions are taken when necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • minimum five years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and ability to hold others accountable to effective performance
  • Ability to read , understand , and follow documented processes and procedures.
  • Understand and work in MS Office platform
  • General knowledge of SAP
  • Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in scheduling and coordinating work, delegating tasks, and resolving issues
  • Oversees the verification of the work order, part number, batch numbers and the case quantity to the work order and the packaging specifications
  • Provides employee training, coaching and recognition and holds self and others accountable to Company policies and procedures; assists or directly addresses performance issues with employees
  • Provides input on employee performance and other performance assessments
  • Leads and ensures accurate and timely completion of all required documentation (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions, etc.)
  • Oversees and maintains accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials
  • Leads and completes variable charts on manufacturing processes and count of good product as required
  • Partners cross functionally to process deviations and quality notifications according to established processes
  • Ensures highest possible product quality and promotes adherence to the quality system, ISO and/or other standards
  • Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities
  • Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Serves as a resource and communicates key and detailed messages to employees
  • Promotes effective communication between employees during and at shift changes
  • Assists with and conducts shift and other meetings
  • Maintains and promotes a clean and safe work area
  • Promotes, follows and holds others accountable to safety policies, procedures and programs
  • Responds to safety concerns; investigates and resolves potential hazards
  • Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals
  • Must be able to inspect parts using overhead and inspection lighting , which can be LED or bright lights
