About The Position

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Operator I to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Under direct supervision, uses visual aids and verbal or written instructions to perform simple and repetitive assembly or testing of assemblies or sub-assemblies. Operates manual or automated equipment to test or assemble product.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice To Haves

• Related experience is preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn manufacturing machinery is preferred

Responsibilities

• Hand, automated, or mechanical assembly or testing of products to meet or exceed established quality standards
• Assembles products based on the documentation or instructions provided.
• Operates equipment such as the hot plate welder, ultrasonic welder, computer automated Tag Testing Systems using very simple computer software programs.
• Provides accurate data and/or information either electronically or handwritten as requested.
• General housekeeping of the workspace at the end of shift.
• Other operations may be required by management to meet production needs.
