About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator/ Manufacturing Operator I is accountable for executing the lowest level of manufacturing operating steps on batches of products utilizing the proper equipment and following instructions defined in applicable safety policies, procedures, and Batch Production Records in either electronic or paper format.

Requirements

  • Compression Experience is a Must
  • High School Diploma with three (3) years of experience as Manufacturing Operator; or
  • Associate degree with two (2) years of experience as Manufacturing Operator, as well as knowledge of computer programs and math; or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with no experience. full knowledge of manufacturing equipment technology.

Responsibilities

  • Apply safety policies and GMP knowledge in daily operations involving self and other team members (i.e., LOTO Lock-Out/Tag-Out}, Personal Protective Equipment PPE} utilization, housekeeping, gowning, and good documentation practices).
  • Perform cleaning process in the manufacturing rooms, washroom, equipment and general area as per respective SOPs. Maintain process equipment and clothing as per established SOPs.
  • Assure that all components and equipment are ready for manufacturing when needed. Setting up, loading & unloading, cleaning and operating equipment such as blenders, compressing machines, and coaters following weekly manufacturing schedule and related SOPs. Transfer materials between work centers as needed. Operate analog and digital controls and instruments on the manufacturing equipment.
  • Know and follow instructions on Manufacturing and Production Records (paper or electronic): Monitor operating parameters and physical attributes of product/process during each respective manufacturing step. Address process deviations immediately and participate in troubleshooting with other team members.
  • Manufacturing processes and operations: Weighing, Granulation, Blending, Compression, Coating, Branding, Banding and Encapsulation.
  • Participate actively in process improvement projects.
  • Employees may be required to work overtime based on operational and organizational needs. Overtime may include hours worked beyond the employee’s regularly assigned shift, as well as weekends, holidays, or other periods as deemed necessary by the Production Unit to support business and production requirements. Employees are expected to maintain flexibility and availability to meet these scheduling needs when required.

  • Minor maintenance of equipment and instruments – Preventive Maintenance (PM): Assist in routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and provide support to basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain and promote the 5S methodology in the manufacturing area to ensure organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Accurately tag and document OEE/RTE events to ensure reliable performance tracking and reporting.
