About The Position

Performs a variety of functions in the production of semiconductor devices, including using wafer fabrication tools and processes, testing product, and delivering product to work areas. The role requires an uncompromising commitment to following safety procedures and protocols, using written procedures and process specifications, and working collaboratively and professionally with a team to achieve production goals. Leads within a team to maximize quality and throughput safely, understands customer and vendor relationships within the factory, and can train team members on processing and equipment procedures. Applies semiconductor manufacturing knowledge to prevent quality issues. Strong tool knowledge supports productive use of equipment and proactive management of tool issues. Works on potentially complex assignments requiring judgment and troubleshooting, with basic process decision-making. Assignments may span multiple work areas. Uses broad job knowledge to drive operating improvements and works with minimal supervision; may take team leadership roles coordinating daily activities. The workday is 12 hours, alternating between three- and four-day workweeks. Day schedules run 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; night schedules run 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. Applicants for night-shift openings are strongly preferred. Typically, 8–10 hours per day are spent standing and walking while continuously lifting and moving boxes of wafers weighing approximately 10 pounds. Work is performed in a cleanroom while wearing a full-body cleanroom suit. Additional personal protective equipment is required when handling or working indirectly with hazardous materials.

Requirements

Between 5 and 9 years of related experience; a college degree may be considered to offset a portion of manufacturing experience.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Judgment and troubleshooting skills for potentially complex assignments.
Basic process decision-making ability.
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment.
Ability to follow safety procedures and written procedures/process specifications.
Ability to train team members on processing and equipment procedures.
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and customer and vendor relationships within the factory.
Tool knowledge sufficient for productive equipment use and proactive management of tool issues.
Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per day and continuously lift and move approximately 10-pound wafer boxes.
Ability to work in a cleanroom wearing a full-body cleanroom suit and additional PPE when required.
