About The Position

This role is responsible for performing molding, demolding, and other manufacturing-related duties to produce PVA sponge product meeting specifications. The Manufacturing Operator 1 will also assist in training less experienced team members to ensure daily production goals are met and will support the Lead-Materials Processor in operating manufacturing equipment. The position requires adherence to all safety and quality procedures, including handling hazardous chemicals and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Average computer skills.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Proven safety record.
• Clean shaven within OSHA regulations when required to wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe workplace and follow all established work policies.
• Perform molding, demolding and other manufacturing related duties as required.
• Help train and oversee other less experienced manufacturing materials processors to ensure daily production goals are achieved.
• Assist Lead-Materials Processor with the operation of manufacturing equipment to produce PVA sponge product meeting product specifications.
• Clean and assemble PVA sponge molds.
• Follow established process operating and safety procedures.
• Contributes to maintain and improve overall company personnel Safety.
• Responsible for adhering to all Company, department quality and Safety procedures.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
