About The Position

This position supervises a team of support and/or production-level employees, including hourly and direct staff, within Manufacturing Operations. The Supervisor is responsible for setting day-to-day activities and monitoring production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, and scheduling for an assigned manufacturing cell. This role is onsite in Charlotte, NC

Requirements

University Degree with 2+ years of manufacturing experience OR High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of manufacturing experience
2+ specialized knowledge of technical or operational manufacturing practices.
2+ years of basic management approaches, including work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience participating in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Carrier Excellence projects.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing or automated production systems.
Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional support teams including Scheduling, Materials, Quality, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Manages the daily performance of a single manufacturing cell to ensure production targets are met.
Ensures all quality-related items for the cell are completed and documented in accordance with established quality standards.
Assists in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency of operations and cost-effectiveness.
Assists in scheduling and the sequencing of work (build and delivery) for the cell to optimize productivity.
Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure the availability of materials and smooth operations.
Leads Carrier Excellence (Lean/Continuous Improvement) initiatives within the assigned cell.
Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance the cell’s production capabilities.
Interfaces with customers to understand needs and issues, ensuring that customers receive satisfactory standards of service.
