About The Position

As a member of the Manufacturing Operations Shift Technician team, the employee is responsible for performing activities that improve the flow of production through sections of the line, during their shift, while achieving world class speed and quality. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers on tool and PRC performance. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data-based block, tool and PRC performance. Duties of a Manufacturing Technician include but are not limited to troubleshooting advanced production issues through the use of a computer; making high-level decisions based on best known methods or operation procedures; tracking, documenting, and communicating production roadblocks; and working as a team leader with outside departments to improve manufacturing performance. As a member of Manufacturing Operations, having high energy with a focus on safety, quality, and speed is necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Intermediate computer skills (>30 WPM typing ability)
  • Self-motivated and strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong familiarity with Samsung automation and reporting systems
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft programs (excel, PowerPoint, word)
  • Ability to both follow and create documented procedures
  • Knowledge of manufacturing metrics (rundown, queue times, TAT, movement)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Use extensive knowledge of Samsung specific scheduling and reporting systems as well as Manufacturing knowledge to improve factory bottlenecks as well as perform general troubleshooting tasks and testing related to these systems.
  • Routinely conducts intermediate data analysis of manufacturing metrics (WPD, tool output, rundown, etc.)
  • Pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance.
  • Conduct intermediate troubleshooting and root cause investigation of production roadblocks up to the 1st and 2nd order of a catalyst event.
  • Effectively communicate status updates and help needs to upper-level management withing the department.
  • Work as a team leader both within and outside of the department.
  • Serve as a lead/backup supervisor depending on business need.
