About The Position

Join a small team building cybersecurity products from the ground up. As the Manufacturing & NPI Engineer, you will own the technical quality, build execution, and product data infrastructure for the company’s server appliance platform. You will serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Arena PLM, maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), while ensuring OEM partners build hardware to exact quality and assembly standards. The role bridges internal hardware design and factory-floor manufacturing execution and works directly under the VP of Supply Chain & Operations. The position covers Arena PLM and product data management, factory build execution and quality validation, new product introduction, and failure analysis and root cause corrective action. You will manage product data and engineering changes, audit and validate OEM manufacturing and testing practices, guide design reviews and prototype-to-production handoffs, and lead technical triage and corrective action for hardware failures. The company describes its compensation as competitive and offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, well-being, and long-term success. The expected salary range is $140,000–$180,000 per year, with individual pay based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Engineer, or Product Data Engineer in server hardware, enterprise compute, or high-density electronics.
  • Hands-on experience structuring, managing, and maintaining complex hardware product data, multi-level BOMs, and ECO workflows in Arena PLM or equivalent cloud-native PLM software.
  • Deep knowledge of x86 server architecture, PCIe Gen5 topologies, thermal and power constraints, high-density NVMe arrays, and enterprise GPUs.
  • Familiarity with factory burn-in testing, out-of-box quality auditing, and ISO/ESD manufacturing standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Arena PLM and structure parts, assemblies, drawing packages, and multi-level server Bills of Materials.
  • Author, review, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and deviations in Arena PLM.
  • Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and Approved Component List (ACL) in Arena PLM and ensure alignment with vendor build files.
  • Audit assembly lines, chassis configurations, custom cabling and dressing standards, and thermal management setups at OEM integration facilities.
  • Review and validate factory burn-in test scripts, memory stress tests, BIOS default configurations, and OpenBMC/Redfish image-flashing procedures.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) reviews during prototype and pilot build phases.
  • Ensure OEM partners complete handoffs from prototype validation to mass production.
  • Lead technical triage and failure analysis for hardware anomalies identified during prototype builds, factory testing, or customer field deployments.
  • Enforce corrective action reports (8D/CAR) with OEM platform partners.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, well-being, and long-term success
