About The Position

Eaton’s DCPD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Master Scheduler. This position is based at our Electrical Manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA. Manufacturing Master Schedulers are primarily focused on converting the Master Schedule into an operational one-to-four-week schedule for a facility after aligning with the internal manufacturing capacity.n Production schedule for all items. The Production Scheduler is responsible for level loading daily production schedules through analyzing resource capacity and other constraints to optimize through-put, while minimizing manufacturing cycle time, inventory, and achieving on-time delivery goals. The Production Scheduler will also be responsible of tracking the Repairs SIOP file and forecast for upcoming months, as well as Aftermarket Repairs BOS metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in production scheduling and planning, including ownership of master production schedules (MPS) in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with SAP or Oracle
  • Minimum one (1) yr team leadership or management of people experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment - Strongly preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment or supply chain.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results.
  • Ability to quickly analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have a measurable impact each year.
  • Change management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily workflow (WIP – “work in process”) through analysis of reports and input from cross-functional teams as well as the critical ratio tool.
  • Aligns and sets priorities for resources and shared resources across factory to maximize efficiency and material flow to ensure customer ship schedules on time.
  • Works with SCM planners for daily parts/material information to analyze and establish dates to meet and exceed customer delivery requirements via planning or exchange offering.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams including: Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Purchasing.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve the scheduling function.
  • Actively participate in CI activities and process improvement also creating/adhering to standard work.
