About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join their 737 Manufacturing Team in Renton, Washington on 1st Shift. The role requires a dynamic and inspiring candidate with exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills to cultivate the desired culture through Boeing Values & Behaviors. The manager will ensure people are taken care of while delivering on People, Safety, Quality, Compliance, Delivery, and Cost using Boeing Production System (BPS) standards. The ideal candidate can navigate complex challenges and leverage connections for success. Leaders in this team are dedicated to team member success, prioritizing first-pass quality, and maintaining a safe environment. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing
  • 1+ years of experience improving processes using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement techniques
  • 1+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Responsibilities

  • Leads by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors
  • Coaches, develops and motivates employees.
  • Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
