About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (K Level) to support the F/A 18 Final Assembly team in Berkeley, MO! The F/A-18 Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily production operations, supporting aircraft build and installation activities, and ensuring team performance aligns with safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. This role provides frontline leadership to manufacturing personnel, coordinates with cross-functional partners to resolve issues, and drives continuous improvement across the forward install process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical understanding of aerospace manufacturing, and the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years’ experience working with or supporting military aircraft
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years’ experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • Experience with LEAN and 5S activities
  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
