About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 777 Composite Wing Center (CWC) team in Everett, Washington. This position is available for Shift 1 or Shift 2, which will be determined after the interview. As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One BPS culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model. Quality and Safety initiatives will require the candidate to be fully engaged in a FOD free and clean as you go approach and Go for Zero commitment to Safety. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Willing to work any shift, including availability of working on weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team
  • 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
  • 3+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
