About The Position

This role provides overall leadership for the operation of assigned assets, focusing on maintaining a safe work culture, ensuring product quality, and meeting customer specifications. The position utilizes the Rockline Operating System to develop and track metrics and KPIs, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost. It involves analyzing manufacturing performance, resolving challenges, and collaborating with external departments to meet business goals. The role also includes leading and developing manufacturing associates, managing budgets, and demonstrating commitment to company values. The Asset Manager specifically leads assigned assets like Warehouse, Chem Mix, and Sanitation across all shifts, maximizing utilization, optimizing staffing, and driving performance in safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Internal: Bachelor's Degree OR Within 12 months of completing their bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management or business and 4 years manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 2 years of supervisory leadership or demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.
  • External: Bachelor’s degree required preferably in operations, engineering, supply chain, operations management or business and 6 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 4 years of supervisory leadership.
  • Ability to analyze and present large amounts of manufacturing data, develop effective corrective actions, implement solutions, and reinforce through accountability.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Internal Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or within 12 months of completing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or business.
  • Internal Candidate Qualifications: At least 4 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience.
  • Internal Candidate Qualifications: At least 2 years of supervisory leadership experience or demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Strong ability to analyze manufacturing data, implement corrective actions, and reinforce accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for the operation of assigned assets.
  • Maintain a safe work culture with a goal towards zero injuries and zero environmental impact.
  • Ensure all products manufactured meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Enforce quality standards as it pertains to Rockline’s quality management systems and regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize the Rockline Operating System, develop and support metrics, KPIs, and scorecards to ensure performance targets and strategic objectives are met.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement, asset performance, and processes/procedures for safety, quality, and cost (productivity, waste reduction), team development/training.
  • Develop standard rates for output, staffing, and rates for all manufacturing assets on an annual basis.
  • Provide information to support cost quoting of new products to include rates, staffing required, asset for production, identify/eliminate possible manufacturing roadblocks, and ability to decline products that do not fit the current strategy or are cost prohibitive.
  • Analyze and assess manufacturing performance and manufacturing trends and align proper resources or assign projects to effectively resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Identify and promote continuous improvement activities with the team related to equipment and process.
  • Liaise with external departments (Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Tech Support, Quality, Global Engineering) in support of meeting customer expectations and business performance goals.
  • Ensure that customer expectations are understood and met by all members of the Manufacturing team.
  • May lead or participate in customer tours and audits.
  • Lead and participate in the selection and development of new manufacturing associates to develop teams that deliver manufacturing excellence.
  • Support the creation and adherence to the manufacturing budget, including monthly variance analysis.
  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work as needed or requested.
  • Lead manufacturing operations for assigned assets across all shifts.
  • Drive performance through metrics, KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop standard rates for output, staffing, and annual asset planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Lead, coach, and develop associates to build high-performing teams.
