About The Position

This is a skilled multi-trade position responsible for supporting and maintaining CNC Grinders, Presses, Sintering furnaces, Wet and Dry media blasters, CVD Furnaces, PVD Furnaces, and the facility that encompasses the equipment. The individual will be interacting alongside plant personnel and independently working on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and conducting PMs daily.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a maintenance technician.
Training from a certification program, vocational, or technical school pertaining to the skill sets listed.
Electrical skills including CNC-driven systems maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, PLC/Ladder Logic understanding, 3 phase & Single-phase motor control, ability to read schematics, conduit and panel wiring installation, and NEC code & NFPA 70.E comprehension.
Mechanical skills including reading mechanical drawings, power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulic systems and schematics, and pipe fitting.
Fabrication skills including welding (Arc, MIG, TIG), plasma cutting, and metal shaping/bending.
Frequent walking, climbing ladders, and standing for periods up to 8-12 hours a day.
Safety-minded.
Must pass a Respirator Medical Evaluation.

Responsibilities

Supporting and maintaining CNC Grinders, Presses, Sintering furnaces, Wet and Dry media blasters, CVD Furnaces, PVD Furnaces, and the facility.
Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Conducting preventative maintenance (PMs) daily.
Participating in the Kennametal Spill Response program.
Participating on the Plant Emergency SCBA Response Team.
