About The Position

We are actively hiring for a full-time Manufacturing Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift. This role is responsible for maintaining Production, HVAC, facility equipment, and infrastructure in good working order. The technician will detect and correct errors before equipment or products are damaged, operate equipment as required, and perform repairs by disassembling and replacing parts. A strong understanding of electrical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics is expected for repairing sophisticated equipment. After repairs, the technician will test the machine to ensure proper operation. Responsibilities also include performing tear downs, rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and participating in the training of maintenance technician I employees. A flexible schedule, including overtime as needed, is required. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and adhering to Health, Safety, and Quality policies, including the use of PPE, are essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate with 3+ years related experience or training.
  • In a certification program for maintenance, mechanical, electrical or other equipment related discipline.
  • Electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge to repair sophisticated equipment.
  • Forklift Certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed technical certification in maintenance or working towards mechanic, electrical, or other equipment related discipline.
  • Knowledge and/or previous experience in blow molding, injection molding or extrusion molding.
  • Experience with processing or troubleshooting of plastics manufacturing equipment.
  • Some knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
  • Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Keep Production, HVAC, facility equipment and infrastructure in good working order.
  • Detect and correct errors before the machine, or the products it produces, are damaged.
  • Effectively operate equipment as required.
  • Take the equipment apart to repair or replace the necessary parts.
  • Repair sophisticated equipment using knowledge of electrical, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Test the machine to ensure that it is running correctly and smoothly after a repair.
  • Perform tear downs, rebuilds and preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in development and training maintenance technician I employees.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed based on production demands.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to and communicate to others the Health, Safety and Quality policies, including use of PPE.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.
