About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance following corporate standards for quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Experience working with 480-volt motors
  • Experience troubleshooting motors and motor control circuits
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to fabricate, measure, cut, and assemble metal components with precision i.e. mounts, guards
  • Skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
  • Attentive to detail & accuracy, looks for improvements to work processes and takes advantage of tools & resources, finds root cause to quality problems
  • Meets deadlines and responsibilities to help team meet goals, listens to others and values opinions, promotes a team atmosphere
  • Deals with others in a straightforward and honest manner, is accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates support of company values
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements
  • Adapts to change and adjusts to meet needs, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities as required
  • Technical knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment

  • Ability to stand 6-8 hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. maximum
  • Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PRODUCTION OR MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE

  • Strong lathe and mill knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Helping meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems to repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Using micrometers, calipers, tachometers, and dial indicators for precision measuring
  • Calibrating process instruments
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
