About The Position

This position is for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in Plover, WI. The role involves maintaining a high-speed can manufacturing line, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying industrial mechanical systems. The technician will use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances. They will also collaborate with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity. The company is America's largest metal food packaging producer and is committed to sustainability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Ability to learn the use of SPC and to utilize it as a tool for continuous improvement
  • A commitment to safety

Responsibilities

  • Utilize industrial mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high-speed can manufacturing line
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all industrial mechanical systems
  • Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances up to .0010
  • Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $30.03/hour, with overtime available
  • Only work 84 hours every two weeks but earn 76 hours of straight pay and 8 hours of scheduled overtime every two weeks
  • $0.25/hr increase every 6 months for the first two years
