About The Position

This role involves utilizing industrial mechanical knowledge to maintain a high-speed can manufacturing line. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying all industrial mechanical systems. The position requires working with precision measuring tools and close tolerances up to .0010. Collaboration with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity is also a key aspect of the role. The company is America's largest metal food packaging producer and is committed to sustainability, with targets to reduce its carbon footprint, source renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and divert waste from landfills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Ability to learn the use of SPC and to utilize it as a tool for continuous improvement
  • A commitment to safety

  • Technical school degree or certification in a related field is a plus

Responsibilities
