Medtronic Tempe Campus, located in Tempe, Arizona, is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician III to support Wafer Fab Operations and the Advanced Packaging Facility as an equipment maintenance technician. The primary focus of this position will be in wafer fab, sub-fab or gas delivery areas. You will conduct both preventative and corrective maintenance; as well as develop specifications, troubleshooting methodologies, and support systems. You will perform cleaning tasks for office area, sub-fab, and gas farm as assigned by team leader or manager. The Medtronic Mindset defines the expectations of our culture. Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience with wafer fab, lasers, grinding, material handling, and/or surface mount process equipment.
  • Read schematics, diagrams, and written descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience in microelectromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot unusual failure modes and implement root cause solutions that eliminate failure mode.
  • Experience with: Vacuum systems, Gas delivery systems, RF and Microwave systems, CVD Novellus systems, Wet Etch Component TS Thin Films

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for equipment maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have demonstrated maintenance experience with wafer fab, lasers, grinding, material handling, and/or surface mount process equipment.
  • Read schematics, diagrams, and written descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
  • Run projects, including performing complex tests, interpreting data, developing key reports and providing updates to the broader team.
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.
  • Look for and make improvements to optimize work processes.
  • Meet operational attainment of Safety, Quality, and Service goals.
  • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
