About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems within a sheet metal facility. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while supporting production efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication machinery.
• Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment (press brakes, shears, CNC machines, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities in the CMMS system.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
• Assist with equipment installations and improvement projects as needed.
