Classes will be held at the MMS Training Center in North Pekin, IL, with hands-on training at local contract sites in areas such as East Peoria, Goodfield, Bartonville, and surrounding locations. You'll learn directly from experienced technicians while working with real manufacturing equipment and systems. This apprenticeship creates a strong foundation for future opportunities in Manufacturing Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Automation, and Skilled Trades & Technical Leadership.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on work
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dependability and attention to detail
- Desire to build a long-term career in manufacturing maintenance
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in preventive maintenance procedures
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform equipment inspections and repairs
- Learn and apply workplace safety practices
- Utilize industrial tools and technology
- Develop problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Work alongside experienced technicians and mentors
