About The Position

Maintain and repair machinery and equipment in the shop, Plant 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Building and maintenance inside and outside as needed. As a Maintenance Tech, you’ll be part of our team located in Hesston, KS. You’ll get to: Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operations manual, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, crane, hand tools and power tools. Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rule, caliper, micrometer and other measuring instruments. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, level, plum bob and straight edge. Repair or replace defective structural parts in devices using hand tools. Start devices to test their performance. Lubricate and clean parts. May set up and operate drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. May assist with compliance of environmental issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of industrial electrician or mechanic experience preferred.
