This role operates multiple manual or automated Hone machines to produce quality products according to blueprint specifications.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Must be reliable and dependable.
Ability to communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.

Nice To Haves

2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate automated/robotic or manual honing machines.
Program and troubleshoot robots using human machine interface (HMI).
Perform changeovers, brush changes, and basic maintenance.
Orient inserts before honing.
Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.
Perform quality examinations with the magnifier scope.
Pull samples and record inspection results.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of product.
Run insert, tooling and brush tests.
Separate scrap from good inserts, document accurately.
Scan correct production information.
Operate other equipment as needed.
Commitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures.
Operator/Inspector responsible for following control plan, assuring product is processed/inspected according to proper routings, specifications and that the quantity and style are correct.
Work to meet daily departmental production goals.
Must be reliable and dependable.
Communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.
Run orders according to the order selection procedure.
Assignments and instructions communicated orally and carried out by standing guidelines.
Routine problems solved by operator using learned knowledge of insert styles and production processes.
Recurring problems and major decisions receive supervisor attention.
