This role operates multiple manual or automated Hone machines to produce quality products according to blueprint specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to run multiple manual or automated Hone machines producing a quality product to blueprint specifications.
  • Ability to orient inserts before honing.
  • Ability to perform quality examinations with the magnifier scope.
  • Ability to pull samples and record inspection results.
  • Ability to perform dimensional and visual inspections of product.
  • Ability to run insert, tooling and brush tests.
  • Ability to separate scrap from good inserts, document accurately.
  • Ability to scan correct production information.
  • Ability to work safely and understand all safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow control plan, assuring product is processed/inspected according to proper routings, specifications and that the quantity and style are correct.
  • Ability to work to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Ability to communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.
  • Ability to solve routine problems using learned knowledge of insert styles and production processes.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automated/robotic or manual honing machines.
  • Program and troubleshoot robots using human machine interface (HMI).
  • Perform changeovers, brush changes, and basic maintenance.
  • Orient inserts before honing.
  • Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.
  • Perform quality examinations with the magnifier scope.
  • Pull samples and record inspection results.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of product.
  • Run insert, tooling and brush tests.
  • Separate scrap from good inserts, document accurately.
  • Scan correct production information.
  • Operate other equipment as needed.
  • Commitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures.
  • Assure product is processed/inspected according to proper routings, specifications and that the quantity and style are correct.
  • Work to meet daily departmental production goals.
  • Communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts.
