About The Position

This position is for dedicated employees looking to advance from entry-level roles on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be capable of performing various jobs, tasks, and duties as required, and must be available to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed. The role involves a range of responsibilities including general housekeeping, cleanup, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication, sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items, dumping rework, and operating a motorized forklift, along with other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Specific tasks include keeping production lines stocked with packaging materials, completing production and packaging material documentation, performing basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment, understanding the basic operation of line equipment, communicating with supervisors about line status and equipment needs, reporting and resolving quality issues, and executing proper line startup, running, and shutdown procedures. The role also requires basic ammonia operation, knowledge of process flow from source tank to filling, understanding and performing basic tasks within the M3 inventory system, basic Votator/Perfector operation, and a basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED.
  • Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge - data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping, cleanup, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, and lubrication.
  • Retrieve samples, perform power washing, and lift and haul items.
  • Dump rework and operate a motorized forklift.
  • Keep lines stocked with packaging materials.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork related to CCPs, production, and packaging materials.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.
  • Understand the basic operation of equipment on the line.
  • Communicate with supervisor when the line is down due to equipment/oil supply issues.
  • Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention.
  • Report and resolve any observed quality issues while operating the line.
  • Perform proper start up, running, and shut down of the line.
  • Perform basic ammonia operation.
  • Understand process flow and be able to trace flow from source tank to filling process.
  • Understand and perform basic tasks within the M3 inventory system.
  • Perform basic Votator/Perfector operation.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers.
