About The Position

Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Learning & Development Manager for a growing multi-site manufacturing organization in Tyler, Texas. This leadership role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Human Resources to strengthen workforce capability, develop frontline leaders, and improve operational execution across multiple manufacturing facilities. This is not a traditional classroom training position. The Manufacturing Learning & Development Manager is responsible for building workforce capability systems that improve operational readiness, strengthen frontline leadership, standardize qualification processes, and support continuous improvement across multiple production facilities. The successful candidate will lead capability initiatives that ensure employees are trained, qualified, and prepared to perform safely and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, Organizational Leadership, or Related Field (or Equivalent Experience) REQUIRED
  • Minimum 7 Years Manufacturing Operations, Workforce Capability, Technical Training, Learning & Development, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence Experience REQUIRED
  • Experience Coaching Frontline Leaders in a Manufacturing Environment REQUIRED
  • Experience Building Onboarding, Qualification, Certification, and Cross-Training Programs REQUIRED
  • Strong Facilitation, Coaching, Communication, and Problem-Solving Skills REQUIRED
  • Ability to Influence Cross-Functional Teams REQUIRED
  • Willingness to Travel Up to 50% REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Food Manufacturing or High-Volume Production Experience Preferred
  • Multi-Site Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • Leadership of a Training or Workforce Development Team Preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing, TWI, Standard Work, TPM, or Continuous Improvement Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify workforce capability gaps with plant leadership
  • Design and improve onboarding, qualification, certification, and cross-training programs
  • Coach frontline leaders to improve accountability and execution
  • Lead and develop a technical learning and workforce development team
  • Standardize workforce capability processes across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Safety, Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Improve workforce flexibility through cross-training initiatives
  • Drive operational readiness and leadership development
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations
