About The Position

The Manufacturing Leadperson provides direction and guidance to associates in various functional areas, ensuring key objectives are met. This role requires strong technical knowledge of departmental operations, assisting the supervisor with schedule attainment, and leading, mentoring, and training team members. The Leadperson promotes company policy, upholds quality standards, achieves work schedules efficiently, and seeks continuous improvement in cost reduction and department efficiency. They will interact with service departments, customers, and vendors, and are responsible for tracking and ordering supplies. A general understanding of technician or expert level responsibilities within their functional area is expected, including resolving tooling, gaging, and print issues, maintaining operational quality, reporting difficulties, and complying with process documentation. This role may also involve handling regulated waste in accordance with federal/state regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent- required
  • Industrial mathematics (i.e. ability to add, subtract, decimals).
  • Ability to read blueprints and or read, write, and interpret technical information.
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Ability to work in a team along with strong leadership skills including ability to train and mentor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use and setup various measuring devices or gages.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-5 years manufacturing experience- preferred

Responsibilities

  • Track, maintain and order supplies that support your area of responsibility.
  • Assist in resolving tooling, gaging, print or other applicable issues as they arise.
  • Maintain operational quality standards.
  • Report all operating difficulties to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain and comply with process documentation.
  • Generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job and dispose of it in accordance with federal/state regulations.
