About The Position

The Manufacturing Leader (Production Supervisor) is a hands-on manufacturing leadership role responsible for supporting and leading day-to-day production operations while developing and improving processes to scale production capabilities. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, New Product Introduction (NPI), and process development in a fast-paced, high-growth or scaling manufacturing environment. The position manages production activities and employees, monitors performance, addresses bottlenecks, and supports scheduling, staffing, training, and resource planning. It establishes standardized work and ensures production follows safety and quality requirements. The role leads continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methods, structured problem-solving, and manufacturing KPIs to reduce waste, defects, rework, downtime, and delays. The Manufacturing Leader supports products transitioning from development into production, partnering with Engineering and Quality on prototypes, pilot builds, manufacturability, process development, and production ramp-up. The role also helps scale manufacturing by identifying equipment, tooling, staffing, and process needs, and by establishing repeatable production methods. Close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations is expected, alongside coaching and developing manufacturing employees.
