The Manufacturing Lead will be responsible for ensuring people and resources are applied efficiently and effectively to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards. This role involves overseeing team members' adherence to manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, and 5S practices. The Lead will ensure equipment is calibrated, systems are functioning correctly, and records are completed appropriately. They will also manage non-conforming material, follow escalation procedures for quality concerns, and achieve production throughput targets. Key duties include managing work order closures, stock control, monitoring changeovers, preparing line setups, and performing first piece buyoffs. The Lead will also monitor and maintain safety equipment, undertake continuous training, perform root cause analysis, identify business improvement opportunities, and deploy technical skill sets. People management responsibilities include training operators, daily management and support, monitoring time and attendance, conducting investigations, and promoting high standards through personal example. Communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and providing product expertise are also crucial. Relationship management involves interfacing with Production Scheduling, liaising with other departments, and providing feedback to the Management team. The role requires self-management, embracing personal challenges, and demonstrating resilience, assertiveness, and openness to change. It also involves engaging others collaboratively and committing to team development with high motivation and an action-oriented approach.
