The Manufacturing Lead has the primary responsibility for daily supervision of manufacturing operations within the assigned facility. This role requires high level communication and coordination with Management and Human Resources.

Requirements

  • A detailed understanding of processes and shop capabilities
  • Ability to read and understand written information
  • A basic understanding of computer software, such as Word and Excel
  • Able to identify problems and review information
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to be on their feet for 8+ hours a day
  • OR any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily work direction to manufacturing personnel
  • Process employee timecards, absence requests and performance reviews
  • Provide training to manufacturing personnel
  • Ensure all QC processes and procedures are followed
  • Coordinate workload with the assigned project manager to ensure design changes are implemented into the overall manufacturing process
  • Document and communicate workplace related injuries with Safety Director and Human Resources
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
  • Schedule and expedite the use of labor, manufacturing equipment and materials
  • Identify efficient appropriate manufacturing sequences to minimize unproductive time
  • Ensure products are built and tested in accordance with customer requirements
  • Coordinate orders with management and purchasing department to meet departmental needs and maintain shop supplies
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment repairs as needed
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair records
