About The Position

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), Manufacturing Layout Engineers are the critical link between design and production—the one who translates plans into action. You’ll be responsible for listing every hollow metal door and frame with precision and purpose, ensuring each detail is clear, complete, and ready for seamless execution on the shop floor. In this role, your accuracy drives momentum—and your layout becomes the blueprint of our success.

Requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent with two years of additional computer training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
1-2 of related programming experience
Knowledge of software applications
Understanding of related programming languages and procedures

Responsibilities

Enter detailed shop drawing information into the designated manufacturing software
Analyze elevations and material profiles to ensure compatibility with efficient manufacturing techniques
Ensure hardware templates are accurately interpreted and programmed relative to each part
Maintain tight manufacturing tolerances and adhere to established manufacturing methods
Evaluate all manufacturing factors in relation to shop capabilities, including bend deductions, shear sizes, jig selection, reinforcement needs, material gauge selection
Accurately program elevations to ensure efficient machine utilization /optimization and tool selection to properly produce parts
